The second-hand marketplace Members Express Displeasure About Sizing Updates
Shoppers are voicing their frustration after an update resulted in products showing incorrect sizing.
The popular resale platform has altered its measurement guidelines for women's and children's clothes but did not contact all users about the change.
Social Media Backlash
Many shoppers and sellers have taken to social media stating that platform listings now display a modified sizing category versus the original listing due to the recalibration.
Vinted explained the new system was more in line with similar services.
The platform has recommended to check their listings and adjust the sizing manually when needed, resulting in member annoyance.
Sizing System Modifications
Previously, the measurements included one number and one letter, such as S/8 or M/10.
The revised method features a letter with a size spectrum for example S/UK 8-10.
In some cases, the measurements have been reclassified - like an L measurement was previously a 12 but now shows as UK 16-18.

Frankie Bridger, who creates plus-size fashion videos, said the change "makes both selling and buying harder".
"Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," as the platform currently indicates.
Stephanie Gallen, based in Glasgow, said garments she listed with size 14 tags were appearing on the platform as size 20–22.
"If buyers measuring 20-22 acquire them they may become frustrated," she explained.
Required Changes
Another shopper, based in Derby, stated she felt frustrated due to the update requiring manual adjustment the measurements for "each individual item".
"Personally, this is quite irritating, because of my ongoing medical condition and platform income has been essential following partial earnings loss," she said.
Service Background
The app has more than 100 million users, including 18 million in the UK.
It has become a favored option versus similar marketplaces including eBay and Depop.
This represents another occasion when a surprising modification within the service has received backlash: last year, the platform withdrew an update to its shipping options after backlash from users.
